Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
1. Overview
SYINQ ("SYINQ", "we", "us") is an NFC-enabled personal connection platform. It links physical SYINQ devices, such as charms, keychains, cards and badges, to personal pages that the device owner curates. This Privacy Policy explains what information SYINQ collects, how it is used, and the choices available to members and visitors. It applies to the SYINQ website, the member area, and public profile pages reached by tapping or scanning a SYINQ device.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your basic account details (name and email address) with SYINQ. Authentication itself is handled by the platform's authentication service; SYINQ does not store your password when you use Google sign-in.
Profile content. You may add information to your profile, such as your display name, first and last name, job title, company, biography, profile photo, phone number, email address, website, business address, and a display theme preference. This content is stored so it can be shown on your public profile when your Share Mode permits.
Links you add. You may add links to social profiles, business resources, contact actions, networking destinations, or payment platforms. Only the links and categories you choose, and only within your selected Share Mode, are shown publicly.
Device information. When a SYINQ device is registered or claimed, we record a device identifier, serial number or hardware UID where applicable, device type and name, ownership assignment, status (for example Unclaimed, Active, Suspended, or Revoked), and related administrative notes. Device credentials are managed separately and are not displayed in the customer dashboard.
Store purchases. If you purchase a SYINQ product, payment is processed by Wix Payments (offered in the app as Base44 Payments). Your contact details (email address, and name and postal address where required for the order) are collected on the checkout page. We retain a record of the order (the product, quantity, amount, currency, buyer email, and payment status) to fulfil the order and provide support. SYINQ does not receive or store your card details.
Support tickets. If you contact support, we store your name, email address, and the content of your message so we can respond.
3. How We Use Information
- To create and maintain your account and authenticate you.
- To serve your public profile, showing only the information your Share Mode allows.
- To register, claim, activate, suspend, or replace SYINQ devices and prevent unauthorised use.
- To process store purchases and provide order-related support.
- To respond to support requests and provide customer service.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to advertise.
4. Public Profiles and NFC Taps
When someone taps your SYINQ device or opens your profile link, the platform resolves the device and displays your public profile without requiring the visitor to log in. The information displayed is limited to what your active Share Mode permits (modes include Everything, Business, Social, Contact, Network, and Custom selections), and sharing can be paused at any time, which makes the profile unavailable to visitors.
Visitors do not need an account and are not asked for personal information when they tap a device. To power members' analytics, SYINQ keeps anonymous, aggregate counts of interactions with a member's profile, for example, how many taps or link clicks happened on a given day, on which device and in which share mode. These counts contain no visitor names, email addresses, IP addresses or other information that identifies a visitor.
Some members offer an optional contact form on their profile. If you choose to fill it in and give your consent, the details you enter (such as your name, email, phone, company and message) are sent to that member so they can follow up with you. SYINQ stores them on the member's behalf, and the member may email you. You can ask the member or SYINQ to delete them at any time.
5. Cookies, Sessions, and Analytics
When you sign in, the platform's authentication service stores a session token in your browser so you remain signed in between visits. These are functional authentication sessions, not advertising cookies. The application also uses functional browser storage for your shopping cart, your appearance preference, a record of which app updates you have already seen, and an anonymous random identifier used to count visits that come from a SYINQ card. The storefront loads its display font from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's font servers when pages load.
Analytics and advertising. On our public website (the storefront pages at syinq.app, not inside the SYINQ mobile apps), we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, whether items are added to the cart and whether a purchase is completed. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and collects information such as your device and browser type, approximate location and the pages you visit. We may also use Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to purchases. This helps us improve the site and our advertising. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
To protect the service from spam and abuse, SYINQ counts how often certain forms are used from the same network. Network addresses are converted into an irreversible code (a one-way hash) before they are counted and are never stored in readable form.
Separately from SYINQ's application-level practices described here, the hosting provider that delivers this service may process technical request logs (such as IP addresses and request metadata) as part of its own infrastructure operations. Those logs are maintained independently of SYINQ's application data and are governed by the hosting provider's own practices.
6. Third-Party Services
SYINQ relies on a small number of third-party services to operate:
- Google: optional sign-in with your Google account, the font servers that deliver the storefront's display typeface, Google Analytics for website usage measurement, and Google Ads conversion measurement. Google's handling of your data is described in Google's own privacy policy.
- Base44: hosting, authentication, database, and email delivery for the platform.
- Wix Payments (Base44 Payments): payment processing for store purchases, including the checkout page where order contact details are collected. Payment information is handled by the payment processor under its own terms.
We do not share your personal information with other third parties except where required to operate the service, to comply with law, or to protect the rights and security of SYINQ and its users.
7. Data Storage and Security
SYINQ data is stored on infrastructure operated by Base44. Access controls within the platform restrict members to their own records, with administrative access limited to SYINQ operators. NFC device credentials are stored separately from customer-facing data, and device programming details are not shown in the customer dashboard, so that a physical device's link cannot be read from your account.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not promise any specific security outcome. If you believe your account or device has been compromised, contact support immediately so the device can be suspended or its credential revoked.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information only as long as necessary for the operation of the service, to comply with applicable legal requirements, for accounting purposes, to maintain security, and to resolve disputes. We do not retain information longer than these purposes require.
Deletion requests are reviewed and processed manually by our support team. You can submit a request in two ways:
- Inside the app: from Profile, then Settings, then Account Management. Because you are signed in, ownership is confirmed by your session and no extra verification step is needed.
- Without signing in: through the public request page at syinq.app/delete-account. We email a one-time verification link to the address you provide, and the request proceeds only once that link is used. If the address does not match an account, the request is rejected during review. You can also email support@syinq.app to start this process.
Each request receives a tracking number that you can use when asking about its status. Requests are completed only after ownership is verified, and the verification token itself is never stored.
Once a deletion request is processed, we delete your profile information, saved links, sharing preferences, and network contacts, and we delete your sign-in account. Any associated NFC devices are deactivated and unassigned, and their tap credentials are revoked so they stop serving your profile. Purchase records and support tickets are retained where necessary to comply with applicable legal retention requirements, such as completed purchase records for accounting purposes.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data. You can exercise most of these choices directly in the app, by editing or removing profile fields and links, changing your Share Mode, pausing sharing, or revoking device access, or by contacting us through the Support page. We will verify your identity before actioning requests where appropriate.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's Updates Center. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
11. Contact
For privacy inquiries, account deletion requests, and customer support, contact us at support@syinq.app, or through the Support page, where you can submit a ticket that is tracked to resolution.
