Terms of Service
Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SYINQ: the website, member area, SYINQ NFC devices, and public profile pages. By creating an account, activating a SYINQ device, or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Account Eligibility and Responsibilities
To use the member area you must create an account with a valid email address, or sign in with Google, and be able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, for the accuracy of the information you publish, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
3. NFC Device Activation and Ownership
Each physical SYINQ device contains an NFC identifier that links it to your account. Devices ship unclaimed and are activated by being claimed to an account. Claiming a device gives you control over its public profile and Share Mode; the device remains linked to your account until it is released, replaced, or its credential is revoked. If a device is lost, stolen, or compromised, contact support so its credential can be revoked and it can be suspended or deactivated, which stops it from serving your profile. Device replacement, warranty coverage, returns, and refunds are governed by applicable law and any separately published store policies; these Terms do not create any free-replacement, warranty, or automatic ownership-transfer commitment.
You are responsible for the physical device. We may suspend or revoke a device's credential if it is used in violation of these Terms or to protect the security of the platform.
4. User-Generated Content and External Links
You own the content you add to your profile: your name, photo, biography, and links. By publishing it through SYINQ you grant us the limited permission needed to store and display that content on your public profile in accordance with your Share Mode. You are solely responsible for the content you publish and for the destinations your links point to. Public profiles may contain links to third-party websites or services; we do not control and are not responsible for those external destinations.
5. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the service to impersonate another person or publish content you do not have the right to share.
- Tap, scan, or modify a device that is not yours, or attempt to access another member's account, profile data, or device credentials.
- Read, copy, or re-programme another party's NFC tag, or use the service to clone or counterfeit devices.
- Interfere with the platform's operation, attempt unauthorised access, or probe or test the security of the service without permission.
- Use the service for unlawful purposes, including fraud, harassment, or distribution of malicious content.
- Scrape, harvest, or build datasets from public profile pages or other members' information.
6. Intellectual Property
The SYINQ name, logo, wordmark, tagline, device designs, and the software and interfaces of the service are owned by SYINQ or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no licence to that property is given. Your profile content remains yours as described in Section 4.
7. Third-Party Services
The service relies on third parties, including Google for optional account sign-in, Base44 for hosting, authentication, and infrastructure, and Base44 Payments for processing store purchases. Your use of those services is also governed by the relevant provider's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, including the destinations your profile links point to.
8. Service Availability and Changes
We may add, change, or remove features, and may modify or discontinue parts of the service, to improve it or to address security and legal requirements. Significant product changes will be announced in the app's Updates Center. The service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance or reasons beyond our control, and we do not commit to any specific level of availability.
9. Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion in two ways: from inside your account settings (Profile, then Settings, then Account Management), or through the public request page at syinq.app/delete-account, which requires verifying your ownership of the email address on the account via a one-time verification link. Requests are reviewed and processed manually by our support team, and each receives a tracking number.
When a verified deletion request is processed, your profile information, saved links, and sharing preferences are deleted and your sign-in account is removed. Any associated NFC devices are deactivated and unassigned, and their tap credentials are revoked so they stop serving your profile. Certain purchase records and support tickets may be retained where applicable legal or accounting purposes require.
We may suspend or terminate an account, or revoke a device credential, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for us, or where required by law. Where practical, we will notify you of enforcement action affecting your account. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) do so.
10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SYINQ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the products or services giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's Updates Center. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be emailed to support@syinq.app or raised through the Support page, where tickets are tracked to resolution.
